Variable Data Printing
Variable Data Label Printing
Variable data label printing combines a shared design with changing barcode, QR code, serial or batch fields. Supply the approved data file and identify what changes on each label, what stays fixed and how the finished run must be organized.
Digital proof before production. Material and adhesive options are discussed according to your application requirements.

Distinguish the layout count from the record count
One design can carry many unique records, while several artwork versions can share part of the same data. List the layout reference for each record and decide whether the label count is one per record or several copies per record. Check leading zeros and long identifiers in the released file.
Approve representative records from the beginning, middle and end, plus any unusually long values or changed artwork. If labels must be applied in a specific order, define the roll or pack sequence separately from the CSV sorting rule. A correct source file alone does not explain receiving and application order.

What Variable Data Can Include
Variable data can be used across tire and industrial labels.
- Unique barcodes
- QR codes
- Serial numbers
- Sequential numbers
- Batch numbers
- Product codes
- Model numbers
- Different text per label
- Different codes per label
Used Across Tire and Industrial Applications
Variable data labels may be used for tire inventory, product identification, asset tracking, equipment ID, warehouse labels, packaging labels and internal tracking workflows.
Data Files We Need
Please send an Excel or CSV file with your required data. Include barcode content, human-readable text, prefixes, suffixes, sequence rules and layout requirements.
Technical Note
If your project requires a specific barcode type, scanner verification, data matrix format, QR code behavior or technical tolerance, send the specification for evaluation before production.
Sample Data File and Proof Review
Provide one row per finished label or a precisely defined sequence rule. Name the fields for SKU, serial, encoded value, human-readable value and artwork version. Preserve leading zeros; state whether a repeated value is intentional. Review a first, middle and last record in the proof, then confirm the supplied print file count against the approved data count.
- One record per label, with a unique ID where required
- Barcode or QR content and matching human-readable text
- Expected number of labels per SKU and artwork version
- Core size, roll sequence and labels per roll if roll order matters
Choose the Right Tracking Page
Tire inventory, equipment assets and general industrial barcode projects use the same variable-data idea but different surfaces and scan points.
FAQ
Questions Buyers Ask
Can each label have different information?
Yes. Variable data label projects can be discussed using your data file, numbering rule or product information list.
What file should I send?
Excel or CSV files are useful for variable data discussion. Please include all fields that should appear on the labels.
